Choice To Be Offered In Alexandria Schools About In-Person, Virtual Classes In Fall
Families will have the choice to opt into an optional summer learning program and indicate their preference for the 2021-2022 school year at Alexandria City Public Schools. A learning choice form will be released to families on Tuesday. Families may choose to enroll in the Summer Learning for All and will choose either five days of in-person learning or five days of in-person virtual learning per week for the fall. Families must complete the survey between May 11 and 24.
According to patch.com, "At the start of the 2021-2022 school year, families have the choice of completely in-person or virtual learning. In-person learning will feature five days per week in classrooms with ACPS teachers. ACPS will continue following health and safety guidelines from the Alexandria Health Department, Virginia Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."
As per patch.com, "The virtual learning option will be offered through Virtual Virginia. Virginia-certified teachers will teach core classes online with daily synchronous activities as well as asynchronous learning experiences. Virtual students will still have access to ACPS extracurricular activities and athletics."
